Small and large family cars like Ford Focus and Mondeno the results were much better – rated as a good or acceptable. BMW 5 series received a rating of a good safety. Volvo has always been the top safety car and had received all good ratings for safety. This is supported by real world injury data which confirms that these seats do produce a significant reduction in whiplash injuries. Volvo continues to be the trend setter in this area. Buyers, must spend more money on this vehicle because of the safety features that were incorporated into this car and thus prevent serious car injuries. Many manufacturers are trying to improve the car seats, by design and safety, in order to achieve a better or more acceptable rating.
